Roediger® Vacuum Sewer Collection Chamber Type “Z”

Manufacturer: Roediger
The Roediger Vacuum Sewer Collection Chamber Type “Z” is a reliable and efficient solution for vacuum sewer systems. The valve chamber is positioned above the wastewater collection sump, providing a clean, dry and easily accessible environment for the main system components. The chamber is delivered pre-assembled for fast and simple installation on site.
Description

The Roediger® Vacuum Sewer Collection Chamber Type “Z” is designed for residential areas, municipalities and modern vacuum sewer networks. Wastewater from conventional gravity sewer lines flows into the collection sump, where it is automatically transferred into the vacuum sewer network by a pneumatic vacuum valve.

The system does not require electrical power inside the chamber. The vacuum valve is activated pneumatically when wastewater reaches a certain level inside the sump, ensuring reliable and energy-efficient operation.

The chamber body is manufactured from watertight polyethylene and includes:

  • dry valve chamber,
  • wastewater collection sump,
  • vacuum valve,
  • pneumatic controller,
  • vacuum interruption unit.

A key advantage of the Type “Z” chamber is the complete separation between the wastewater sump and the valve chamber. This creates a clean, dry and hygienic service area while protecting critical components from moisture, dirt and frost.

The chamber is delivered pre-assembled, allowing quick and easy installation. Installation depth and inlet levels can be adjusted on site according to project requirements.

The self-cleaning sump design ensures complete emptying during every vacuum cycle, helping prevent sediment buildup and unpleasant odors. An integrated protection system prevents large solids from entering the vacuum network and reduces the risk of blockages.

Roediger® vacuum sewer chambers are available in:

  • pedestrian versions,
  • traffic-load versions,
  • flood-resistant versions.

The system is based on more than 40 years of experience and over 2,000 vacuum sewer installations worldwide.
