ATEX Certified Digital Float Sensor

Manufacturer: HMW
SpillSens is a cost-effective, multi-level digital float sensor designed as an early warning system for sewer blockages and overflows. ATEX Zone 0 certified and built for harsh wastewater environments, it provides continuous level monitoring using digital positioning technology. Installed at a critical height within a chamber, SpillSens constantly monitors its tilt angle to determine whether it is hanging vertically (normal condition) or beginning to float due to rising wastewater levels. When pre-set tilt thresholds are reached, alarm notifications are transmitted via a connected data logger to the SpillGuard online portal. SpillSens supports Incident Prevention Monitoring programmes and helps utilities reduce pollution events, clean-up costs and regulatory penalties.
Description

Operating Principle

  • Green – sensor vertical, normal operation

  • Amber – tilt movement detected, rising level warning

  • Red – tilt angle >110°, high/high level alarm

Alarms are transmitted in real time via an intrinsically safe data logger such as IS Log.

Key Features

  • Three-level alert system (Green / Amber / Red)

  • Intrinsically safe – ATEX Zone 0 certified

  • No moving mechanical parts

  • Robust construction for harsh sewer environments

  • Simple and fast installation

  • Compatible with IS Log and other HWM data loggers

  • Online monitoring via SpillGuard portal

  • Reduces pollution incidents and improves compliance
