AQ IoT Data Logger IP68 with Integrated Pressure & Temperature Sensor
The AQ IoT Data Logger is a professional remote monitoring and data acquisition device designed for water distribution networks, manholes, pumping stations, reservoirs and other water utility infrastructure.
Its robust IP68 enclosure makes it suitable for installation in demanding environments and locations where no permanent power supply is available.
The AQ IoT Data Logger can be equipped with an integrated pressure and temperature sensor, connected directly to the water network via a flexible hose. An optional configuration with two independent pressure and temperature sensors is also available.
Additional flow meters, level sensors and other external measuring devices can be connected. The logger supports 3 digital or analogue inputs, 4–20 mA and 0–3 V signals, pulse inputs and RS485 / Modbus communication. Depending on the configuration, up to 5 inputs/parameters can be monitored within the AQ system.
The device is optimised for extremely low power consumption. The standard configuration uses 2 D-cell batteries, with an optional third battery available. Depending on measurement and transmission intervals, autonomous operation can exceed 7 years. The batteries are replaceable, extending the service life of the complete system.
For applications requiring continuous or high-frequency online communication, the logger can also be powered from the mains or a solar power system.
Measurement storage intervals can be configured from 0.01 seconds up to one month, while data transmission intervals can be independently configured from once per minute to once per month. The standard factory configuration stores data every 30 minutes and transmits it twice per day.
Local configuration is available via USB, Bluetooth and AQ Setup software, while remote configuration and monitoring are provided through the AQ WEB platform.
Individual minimum and maximum alarm thresholds can be configured for each input. In the event of abnormal flow, pressure, level or other measured values, the logger can immediately send an alarm to the server, with AQ WEB forwarding the notification to the user via SMS or email. This enables rapid response to pipe bursts, leaks, pressure problems and other unexpected network events.
An optional relay output allows remote opening or closing of valves and control of other connected equipment. In combination with a PRV pressure reducing valve, standard or customised control algorithms can be implemented to regulate network pressure according to flow, demand, time or other parameters.
Communication options, depending on configuration, include 2G/3G/4G, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN and Wi-Fi. Supported protocols include AQ Protocol and MQTT.
In addition to connected sensor measurements, the system can monitor battery status, communication signal strength, internal power consumption, temperature and humidity inside the device, valve ON/OFF status, and automatically synchronised date and time.
The AQ IoT Data Logger IP68 provides a flexible platform for integrating flow, pressure, temperature, water level and other water utility parameters into one remote monitoring system, while offering long autonomous operation, automatic alarms and optional remote equipment control.
