Safe atmosphere before entering a confined space
Esders OLLI is a professional multi-gas detector designed for workplace atmosphere monitoring and personnel protection in environments where oxygen deficiency, toxic gases or an explosive atmosphere may occur.
It is particularly suitable for water, wastewater, gas and utility professionals working in manholes, shafts, underground chambers, technical rooms and other confined or restricted-access spaces.
Depending on the selected configuration, OLLI can be equipped with different sensors for monitoring combustible and toxic gases as well as oxygen. Its explosion-proof design and ATEX/IECEx certification make it suitable for professional use in hazardous working environments.
Oxygen, toxic and combustible gas monitoring
Confined spaces can contain dangerous atmospheres even when there are no visible signs of a hazard. OLLI enables personnel to check atmospheric conditions and identify potentially dangerous situations before and during work.
Depending on the sensor configuration, OLLI can monitor:
- O₂ – Oxygen
- H₂S – Hydrogen sulphide
- CO – Carbon monoxide
- CO₂ – Carbon dioxide
- CH₄ – Methane / combustible gases
- Combustible gas concentrations in % LEL
The available sensors, measuring ranges and operating modes depend on the individual device configuration.
Atmosphere testing before entry
For confined-space applications, OLLI is available with an integrated sampling pump.
This allows the atmosphere inside a manhole, chamber or other confined space to be sampled from a safe position before the worker enters.
The integrated pump has a flow rate of approximately 20 l/h.
This configuration is particularly suitable for utilities and service companies whose personnel regularly enter underground infrastructure.
Continuous monitoring during work
After the initial atmosphere check, OLLI can also be used for continuous workplace monitoring while work is being carried out.
If a hazardous gas concentration or unsafe oxygen level is detected, the operator is warned by:
- acoustic alarm
- optical alarm
- vibration alarm
The combination of three alarm types provides clear warning even in noisy, dark or otherwise challenging working environments.
Designed for demanding field conditions
OLLI features an ergonomic and extremely rugged housing with IP67 protection.
A high-contrast backlit LCD graphic display provides clear visibility of measured values, while intuitive menu navigation makes the instrument simple to operate during daily field work.
Long operating time
The rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides:
- up to 50 hours for the diffusion version;
- up to 35 hours for the version with integrated pump,
with the display backlight switched off.
Data storage and documentation
OLLI provides wireless data transfer and approximately 200 MB of internal data storage, supporting professional documentation and management of measurement data.
