Esders Vacuum Backpack VSS 15

Manufacturer: Esders
The Esders Vacuum Backpack VSS 15 is a professional mobile vacuum suction system designed for extremely sensitive gas and H₂/N₂ tracer gas leak detection. Vacuum technology significantly increases gas detection sensitivity in difficult conditions where conventional leak detection methods are not effective enough. The system is suitable for both indoor applications and external water and gas networks.
Description

The Esders Vacuum Backpack VSS 15 is a mobile vacuum suction system developed for extremely sensitive gas and H₂/N₂ tracer gas leak detection in demanding conditions. The system is specifically designed for situations where gas reaches the surface only in very small quantities due to asphalt, paving, wet soil or compact ground conditions, making conventional detection methods less effective.

The vacuum technology works by extracting gas directly from the ground before it naturally reaches the surface. Gas often accumulates below ground in much higher concentrations than at surface level, and the VSS 15 allows this concentrated gas to be collected and directed to the gas detector for significantly more accurate analysis.

The core of the system is a professional vacuum backpack equipped with:

  • vacuum pump,
  • filtration system,
  • replaceable rechargeable battery,
  • electronic control unit,
  • vacuum probes and connection accessories for various surfaces.

The ergonomic backpack design allows comfortable operation during long working periods without excessive strain on the operator. The system is suitable for use on:

  • asphalt,
  • paving stones,
  • gravel,
  • grass surfaces,
  • wet soil,
  • boreholes and difficult access locations.

The VSS 15 vacuum technology is especially effective when:

  • the soil is wet or compact,
  • surfaces are sealed by asphalt or paving,
  • gas concentration at surface level is extremely low,
  • very precise leak localization is required.

In real field conditions, vacuum technology often makes it possible to locate leaks that cannot be detected at all without vacuum assistance. Tests and practical applications have shown that locations with no detectable gas concentration without vacuum technology produced full-scale readings when vacuum extraction was used.
