Esders TONI GasTest CH4 is a professional handheld instrument developed and manufactured in Germany for fast and precise detection and location of methane leaks in domestic, commercial and technical gas installations.
Designed for installers, service technicians and gas utility professionals, it enables reliable inspection of pipelines, fittings, valves, connections and other potential leakage points.
The TONI GasTest CH4 combines a 0–10,000 ppm CH₄ measuring range with a fast t90 response time of approximately 4.5 seconds.
Precise detection in hard-to-reach areas
The flexible sensor probe with a length of approximately 35 cm allows the sensor head to be positioned close to fittings, valves, pipe connections and other difficult-to-access areas.
Three types of alarm
When methane is detected, the operator is alerted by:
- visual indication;
- acoustic alarm;
- vibration alarm.
The acoustic alarm level is greater than 95 dB(A), while the vibration function allows the technician to concentrate on the inspection point without constantly watching the display.
Designed for professional field use
With a weight of only approximately 265 g, IP64 protection and integrated magnets on the rear of the housing, the TONI GasTest CH4 is designed for convenient daily field use.
The operating temperature range of –20 °C to +50 °C makes the instrument suitable for demanding working environments.
Long battery life
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 31 hours of operation with the display backlight switched off and approximately 20 hours with the backlight on. Charging is via USB-C.
Esders Connect
Integration with Esders Connect supports systematic evaluation and documentation of measurement data. Cloud storage is included after registration with Esders Connect.
