Tracergas Injection Box TIB40 is a professional tracer gas injection and flow measurement unit designed for accurate water leak detection in water supply networks. The system allows tracer gas to be injected into the pipeline during normal operation without interrupting the water supply or taking the pipeline out of service.
Traditional acoustic leak detection methods are increasingly reaching their limits due to rising environmental noise, long distances between measuring points and plastic pipelines that naturally conduct sound poorly. The tracer gas method provides an effective alternative for difficult leak detection conditions.
With the TIB40 system, an approved and safe tracer gas containing approximately 5% hydrogen is added to the water flow. The gas mixes with the water and escapes through the leak point together with the water. After leaving the pipeline, the hydrogen separates from the water and rises to the surface, where it can be detected using a highly sensitive hydrogen detector and vacuum probe.
The device is equipped with an electronic flow meter, pressure gauge and quick connectors, ensuring precise control of flow and pressure during operation. The maximum tracer gas flow rate is up to 40 l/min.
