HUNTER Tracer Gas is a professional water leak detection device designed for locating very small and hidden leaks using tracer gas (5% H₂ / 95% N₂). This method is used in situations where traditional acoustic leak detection or correlation methods cannot precisely locate the leak.
The tracer gas is injected into the pipeline under pressure and escapes through the leak point. The hydrogen contained in the gas mixture is lighter than air and rises to the surface, where it can be accurately detected using the HUNTER Tracer Gas detector and professional probes. This method is especially effective for plastic pipelines and in environments with high background noise where acoustic methods reach their limits.
The device is equipped with a highly sensitive hydrogen sensor with a resolution down to 0.1 ppm H₂, ensuring extremely fast response even to the smallest gas concentrations. An additional second sensor is integrated for precise pinpointing in probe holes.
HUNTER Tracer Gas features a large high-resolution LCD touchscreen display, an integrated high-performance pump with more than 40 l/h flow capacity and smartphone connectivity with support for the Esders Connect online platform for data transfer and analysis.
