Underfloor heating leaks

We accurately locate leaks in underfloor heating systems using professional non-destructive methods. Even small leaks can cause pressure loss, moisture damage and reduced heating efficiency. Our advanced diagnostic technologies allow us to pinpoint the exact leak location without unnecessary floor breaking — saving time, cost and disruption. We operate across the Baltic region, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

How We Find Water Leaks Under a Floor

We perform structured, step-by-step diagnostics of underfloor heating systems to accurately identify hidden leaks with minimal disruption.

1. System Assessment & Pressure Testing

The process begins with isolating heating circuits and performing controlled pressure testing. This allows us to determine:

  • Which loop is affected

  • Whether the leak is active

  • The severity of pressure loss

Segmenting the system significantly reduces the search area before detailed localisation begins.

2. Pipe Route Identification

If construction documentation is unavailable, we identify pipe layout using appropriate detection methods depending on pipe material (metal or multilayer plastic).
Accurate pipe mapping ensures faster and more precise leak localisation.

3. Acoustic Leak Detection

High-sensitivity digital sensors detect leak-generated sound frequencies transmitted through floor structures.
Signal analysis allows us to determine the point of highest intensity, narrowing the leak location without destructive opening.

4. Tracer Gas Method (H₂ / N₂)

In complex or low-noise cases, we introduce a safe hydrogen/nitrogen gas mixture into the isolated loop.
Hydrogen molecules escape through the smallest defects and are detected at surface level using specialised sensors, enabling pinpoint accuracy.

5. Thermal Imaging & Moisture Analysis

Thermal cameras and professional moisture meters are used to:

  • Identify abnormal heat patterns

  • Determine moisture spread within floor layers

  • Assess secondary damage

6. Precise Marking & Reporting

Once the leak is located, the exact repair point is marked.
We provide technical documentation and measurement data to support repair works and insurance claims if required.
